Under-representation of women in leadership of education trade unions.
Activities
The NEU (NUT section) has delivered training programmes to encourage women to come forward for leadership positions. Third sector organisations (voluntary and community organisations) such as WomenED have been set up to help women into leadership positions.
Results
Training a significant number of female trade union activists. Development of training materials.
